About Us
Dedicated to delivering quality education with heart, vision, and excellence
ABOUT OUR SCHOOL
Founded in 1985, our institution has been a beacon of educational excellence for over three decades. With a student strength of over 1,200 and situated in the heart of the city, we have consistently delivered quality education that balances academics rigor with character development.
OUR HISTORY
The Madras Seva Sadan was founded in 1928 by Sir & Lady M. Venkatasubba Rao to support young girls and women in need. Established with the vision of empowering the underprivileged through education and training, the institution has grown into a symbol of service, compassion, and lifelong learning.
In 1957, the Madras Seva Sadan Nursery and Primary School was opened in Tambaram. To honour the founders, it was later renamed Sir & Lady M. Venkatasubba Rao Matriculation School. The Tamil Nadu School Education Department granted official recognition in 2010–11, marking a significant step forward.
Further progress came in June 2015, when permission was granted to introduce Higher Secondary classes. The school now stands on a 5.7-acre campus equipped with modern classrooms, quality infrastructure, and facilities designed to support academic growth and holistic development.
The school consistently delivers strong academic outcomes. In 2024–25, Class 12 and Class 10 secured a 100% pass rate, while Class 11 achieved 98.4%. These results reflect a focused learning environment, dedicated teachers, and disciplined, motivated students.
To stay aligned with modern education, the school continues to adopt digital methodologies that enhance teaching effectiveness and student engagement. Technology-enabled learning supports creativity, collaboration, and readiness for future academic challenges.
